The Destin Airport is the closest and most conveniently located airport in Destin, Fl. It's located in the heart of Destin, just a few minutes drive from HWY 98 and the beautiful Emerald Coast beaches.
The Destin Airport is pretty small so you won't be able to fly on a jumbo jet into this airport. It's a general aviation public use facility owned and operated by Okaloosa County. Don't worry though if you don't have your own private aircraft.

Northwest Florida Regional Airport
The Okaloosa Regional Airport is located on Eglin Air Force Base about 35 miles northwest of Destin. It ends up being about a 45 minute drive to Destin.
The good news is that this airport does service major commercial carriers from Atlanta, Memphis, Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Tampa.
Some of the major carriers include Delta, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and American Airlines.
Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP)
The Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is located in West Bay, near Panama City and Panama City Beach, and serves as a gateway to Northwest Florida and its beautiful world-famous beaches.
Beaches International Airport serves Southwest Airlines and Delta Airlines, which provide daily flights to U.S. destinations, including cities serving as international gateways.
